On Sunday October 16, Chinese diplomats dragged a peaceful Hong Kong protester inside the Consulate and inflicted a brutal punishment beating on him.
The arrogant Chinese Consul General later stated he had taken part in the “punishment” beating and that it was his duty to do so.
Yet after the attacks, the Foreign Office’s response was appallingly weak. They claimed that they had to wait for the Police investigation before deciding what to do.
Despite the fact the UK government knows full well it can’t prosecute the diplomats unless the Chinese Government agrees to waive immunity and they will not. The British Government should dismiss those responsible from the UK forthwith.
